Connect mobile to computer for data sharing

Hello,first when i bought my new mobile and connects it with computer ,computer shows that a hardware is connected to ur computer and easily use to transfer data to mobile but then i formated my computer many times but my mobile shows that is 100% connected to computer and is ready to use but computer no option in computer as well as shows any hardware is connected or not .I thought that my computer must working ill but its not working in any computer .. Please help me??????

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi,
I think your computer dosnt hve the driver which supports your mobile. If you have a mobile that can be connected to computer you must have got a CD with your handset. Use that CD to Install the features on your computer that may support your mobile on computer. If you still cant connect please contact some service center with your mobile.
hope this Information will be helpful to you. I repeat the steps
1. Put in the CD u got with mobile set into CD drive
2. Install driver
connect mobile now

well most of the mobiles can be directly connected to the pc but some needs the driver to be installed.
can you please tell me your model no I will see from my side if I can help you in any way.

Hi!
Actually i have the same problem..
My mobile (Samsung, SGH 900i) had a CD to install, but unfortunately i lost it..
I tried connecting it directly but it doesn't work.
So, is there any way that i could transfer files from my phone to my computer?

Well there is only one solution to this problem in my opinion
search for someone who has a samsung mobile any multimedia model I hope his CD would work.
anyways If you have your data on memory card you can use a memory slot in laptops or a card reader.
acd is required only to interface or syncronise your mobile with PC.
The Data transfer is possible through memory card too.

and yes I too have a samsung mobile but my CD is at my home 750 kms from whee I am right now.

Hi i have the solution!
if you go to their website (samsung.com).
then you must go to the download section (pretty hard to find)
then you see a box asking for your mobile name.
example: sgh-zvh40
then search.
you will see some downloads you can do on your computer.
