I can't download msn live mesenger

I can use the really old version of web messenger, but wenever i try and download msn live messenger a new version it just won't let me its driving me mad. Even hen i go on the mesn website i cant get onto anything to do with msn or even get onto my emails does any1 know y this is please help me ..............................

I also have the same problem in my computer. I am now using the old version. When I tried to DL the new version, it says error because my systems need windows agent 5.8.something above. What does it mean? So I download IE 8 but still it doesnt work. Please let me know what else can be done?!

Look.. u have 2 choices..
1: u have to update ur computer..
2: u have to format ur computer with the last update of windows and u have always to update ur computer.. i had the same problem..
but i Update my computer.. the first time.. after that its all good.. u can download anything.. and use a antivirus..

Hello windows updates pop up like " windows can't check for an updates et the second problem is my firewall is not running with the firewall but i went to services.msc and i stop it ,start it again and then i restart my computer but nothing" so if you can give me hand please.

No you don't need Msn 8 to download Msg Plus, However you do need Msn 8 to install msg plus.

I had windows live beta 8.0 n i didnt lyk it so i unistalled it coz i wanted to use the messenger plus live instead n thats what i did but now i cant download messenger plus live coz apparently i didnt have sirenacm so i downladed it n i tried agen it still sed i didnt have it i dont know at to say now i have to use the old 1 and i HATE IT.......

U can't cause u probale have the old window and not the window xp.
so u can't do anythig ecxept by a new computer

I'm on ma computer and i've tryed downloading msn for ages even when i down load the old version it won't let me sign in it says i need to download the newer first lke live messenger then when i do that it say installation failed and stiff like that do ya know whats wrong and what shally i do x x

i had msn messenger then i installed windows live messenger 2009 build 14 and it's not working so i decided to go back to the older version but it won't allow me, it says: you have a newer version
i looked in ADD/REMOVE Programs and it's not there so i could uninstall it! i need help :(

Try looking for Windows Live Essentials. Uninstall in the custom mode and you can select msn messenger.

U need this program 'Windows Install Clean Up' once u have it installed go to the start menu and type it in to the 'run' bar find it (u wont have a shortcut for it)

once u open it it should show u a list of all windows programs on ur pc. look for the windows live messenger and the other components that were downloaded with it and remove then one at a time.. now you should b able to download a previous version :) hope that helps x

On my computer i have the brand new virsion on windows live and today i bought the brand new sony vaio laptop and it will not let me download windows messenger and its so frust starting i need to speak to my mates i didnt just by this laptop to look at please if you no the anwser please replay i really need help :( :@ xx

You can manually uninstall Messenger by clicking Start, then Run (if not using Vista),
inputting the following and hitting enter:
msiexec /x {B1403D7D-C725-4858-AACC-7E5FA2D72859}

I just got the acer aspire one for x-mas and its linux :@ and i hate it !!!!!

i also cant get msn, and ive tried ebuddy, but everything says it cant and all the rubbish ,, and so if ANYONE knows how to get msn or anytype if NEW messenger then pleaseeeeeeeeee tell me :)

I have a brand new laptop will not download Windows live messenger at all onto it keep getting a broken link message getting the same message on works main computer too will not allow you into messenger at all.

I had the same problem mate i downloaded loads of different msn's windows live messenger but kept getting a broken (all the english virsions) link a curupted file try downloading amsn and see if it will let u on it worked for me :)
