Sound/video problems on laptop [Solved]

I have a Toshiba labtop model Satelite A45-S120 with Windows XP. It lost the sound. I have problems re-installing sound card drivers. The control panel does not have the System option for the installation process.

btw..they make 2 diff 3.5mm connectors for that...look and see what you have...cause one has 1 rings on the end and the other has 2 rings where it attaches to the laptop...hope you know what I am trying to show you...one has for 2 wires where the other has 3 wires...like with a mic...

niceday, please i was looking for sound driver for my Laptop that I have just recover after having some virus infection, after using recovery i understand that my sound was no longer working. so have try to download sound driver but till this moment have not succeed in getting one. so can you help me get one.

hey just repuing back to your question on the s-video and sound
the s-video output is only the video and the souns is separate
to hook up sound somehow use the output sound and hook it to tv with a certain cable

I have solved my wife's laptop sound problems by a round-about way- I installed DragonNaturally Speaking and they mentioned that the sound in a lot of laptops wasn't very good and suggested using a USB connector for a microphone- Then I remembered that instead of the built in webcam I'd stuck an old cheap webcam with a USB connector on it and ithe sound worked fine. We bought a very good headset/microphone with an usb connector and now the sound we record is great- apparently (according to them ) using a usb connector bypasses the built in sound card a creates a sound card all of it's own- anyway it works, They also say as an aside if you use Naturally Speaking that not all Chinese cheap USB microphones are up to standard including (ouch) the Logitech one- I bought a "Andrea NC-7100 USB" headset on ebay for about $28 and it works wonderfully, noise cancelling etc, it works far better thaqn the cheap $10 I tried at first.
