Hey... Umm, I just downloaded Sharepod.exe and I opened it and it said that there was on iPod found connected to the computer... I had already plugged my iPod into the usb port. Please help. I have no other way of putting songs on my iPod. iTunes is messed up, and I want something legal. Any idea why it is giving me this error message?

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.1

I figured it out! I was having the same problem. Make sure the "Enable Disk Usage" option is checked for your ipod. Then try running sharepod and it should work.

Plug your ipod into the back usb ports of your laptop/pc...not the front or sides, try the usb ports on the backside once... see if that works

Try some other iTunes alternative, like Joboshare iPod Rip
Download it from http://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/joboshare-ipod-rip.html
