Trying to transfer music from my MacBook to a PC and I can't seem to connect my External Hard-Drive to the PC. It says that its compatable for both Mac and PC on the box, but it won't register on any PC.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Cheers.

If you formatted the hard drive on the Mac then the PC will not be able to read it.

if you've formatted your hard drive on a MAC using 'MAC OS X Extended', a PC cannot natively read the hard drive. However, there is an excellent program called "MAC Drive" that will allow a PC to read/write to a drive formatted as 'MAC OS X Extended'.

The alternative is to reformat the HD on the PC as a FAT32 drive. Then both Mac and PC can read and write to it.

Good Luck
