Black Friday:HP G71-329WM Laptop for $398 at Walmart
Walmart will be selling the HP G71-329WM laptop for $398 on Black Friday. This is an affordable entertainment PC with a 17″ display. The large display is very nice if you plan on watching movies or enjoying other multimedia content on your laptop. It is much larger than most laptops, which means it’s not very mobile. If you’re looking for something to bring to school or work you should look at a PC that has a 15″ or smaller display.
The G71-329WM is a Walmart-only configuration of the HP G71 series notebook PC. You will not find this exact model at other retailers, but you can compare it to other models that start with “G71-3.”The G71-329WM comes with Window 7 Home Premium, a 2.2GHz Intel Celeron 900 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 320 GB hard drive and LightScribe SuperMulti DVD-R/RW.
update: More details about the G71-329WM are now available. The G71-329WM comes with a Celeron processor, which is quite slow by today’s standards.
It also does not have a webcam, something that is standard on most netbooks and notebooks.
