Sata or ide faster?

Hello,

just asking myself which one is more faster hdd sata or ide? its just because a friend of mine told me that ide is more rapid in terms of file transfer is it true?

of course its sata the fastest it cant be ide as sata has a transfer rate of 100mb/s
