Hey mate, Don't know if you've resolved your problem or not yet but i've just conneted my parents Laps too a 3G connection using ICS (Internet connection sharing which is apart of windows (make sure when you google it you supply the right OS)). This seems to work fine, other people have complained about reliability but i haven't found any problems with it yet, fingers crossed. Just remember that the host computer (the one that is connected directly to the 3G USB Modem) has to have the 3G internet connection established to your ISP for the oter computer to be able to connect to the internet.

Or you can purchase a 3G router, Maxon makes one and so do a whole lot of other companies but for the price of around 200bucks (AUS). Didn't want to spend the money so ICS was the way to go!

GOOD LUCK.

He's is asking if he can connect two PCs using two 3g modems - ie using the 3G devices like you would with WiFi to transfer files, play games, or whatever. As far as I know it isn't possible, but it certainly would be cool, since 3G modems have a greater range than WiFi.

Why couldn't he host a vpn on one machine and connect 3g to 3g, that would work fine, like being on a large WLAN.
