Hi,

Next time you have any issues do not be afraid to run a search in Google or alternatively Altavista for what you need. The link below takes you to the official HP download site for XP drivers for your notebook.... Take care to NOT download the Bios Updates, especially since you sound like a newcomer to notebooks.

He is right rishu. but theres a problem installing many drivers in XP.
u cannot install the drivers directly by running the setup.
u have to go through another way, and that is....
HAHAHA.

Hi i just recently installed windows xp and i disabled my sata driver before installation and now when i enable the sata driver it says windows has a problem what do i do?

Good morning bandit. I´ve got the same problem with my HP PAvilion dv6000, I had the vista installed but I didn´t liked, then I installed the xp professional, but now i don´t have the drivers. I´ve already done like you said to do. I´ve downloaded the drivers you said put it on a disc but now every time i try to install it doesn´t work. what can I do? could you please help me? thank you.

Hello gray.

u didnt need any other software.
u just have to install the drivers manually.
Many drivers will not get installed if u run their setup.
u have to install them from device manager.

here are the steps.
1. select the device and click update driver.
2. select " Not at this time" and click next.
3. select "Let me choose from the list" and click next.
4. select the appropriate category (e.g. for installing Sound drivers, select Sound and Audio Devices) and click next.
5. then select the directory of the unpacked setup file( default is c:\SWSETUP\....) and then click on the inf file and click ok
after that follow the instructions and ur driver will be installed.

after long hours of researching the internet for xp drivers for a pavillion dv6667eg (dv6500) I find this thread.
*YAHEEEE*

I allready mangaged to create a winXP setupCD, the WiFi is running the laptop is kind of working :-).
but I cant find the graphik drivers anywhere. Do you, maybe, have such a superb collection of drivers as you posted above for the 6000?
Or at least the graphik? I'm really getting desparate by now

I did not go into detail with my downgrade advanture 'cause I think you allready heard some stories:-) If you would need more information just ask.

would be nice to get an answer,

Ya had to reload windows vista in this laptop xp didnt work need these drivers now base system device coprocessor ethernetcontroller hp webcam sm bus controller plz help would thx all so much

Hi agi,

you have provided very usefull link for "complete drivers hp pavillion dv6000 for winxp" download.

But i've hp pavilion dv6910tx laptop with winxp. Cud u pls tell me, wheather these drivers will be applicable for my laptop also? or, pls provided the links for my laptop driver if u have.

Downloaded all driver but all drivers are all the same in all 9 secsions i loaded from the top u said to load from nothing work

Hi there tryed to load windowds xp drivers but there didnt work i reloaded windows vista but need ethernet driver and base system devise and hp web cam and sm bus controller and one says unkowon devise hp dont have them ive tryed pls help me thx so much blue max

Hello bluemax.
i have d6701 au laptop and i have successfully installed all the drivers, all of them.
if u have the same laptop, then i can help u.
for chipset driver, u can get the package from Nvidia nforce chipset driver(latest version)
and it will install ethernet controller driver, sm bus driver.
then u would have to install HP quick launch Buttons driver for UNKNOWN Device.
for base system devices, install Ricoh Card reader drivers.
and finally for wi-fi driver, u would have to install Atheros Wi-Fi driver( for d6701 au).
and u will get all the drivers for ur system.

If somebody still has problem to get right drivers for ethernet, coprocessor and one of the BUS, this should solve that:

But I still find difficult to find right driver only for modem device on High definition audio bus.

For modem , u can try HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax modem with SmartCP driver.
u can get it from HP site or get from the following link--.

FOR THE LAN DRIVERS
OF HP DV6767TX

VISIT THE REALTEK WEBSITE ITSELF!

WWW.REALTEK.COM

AND GOTO SOFTWARES AND PCI

INSTALL THE XP VERSION
I INSTALLED 1 OR 2 AFTER MY LAN FINALLY STARTED WORKING


THEN GOTO ANY DRIVER UTILITY SOFTWARE/WEBSITE AND DOWNLOAD THE REST OF THEM!!!

I cant find a ethernet driver and video card driver on any hp sites, do you have those drives

Hi.

Before u can install Ethernet Controller driver, u have to install Nvidia Nforce Networking Bus Enumerater and Nvidia Nforce Networking controller.

Fot all of these, u should download Nvidia Chipset driver from www.nvidia.com

and then u will have ur Ethernet Controller.

Along with that, that driver will install SM bus controller, Display Drivers and many others.
