Wirelessly connected but no web page display

Hello,

Im having an issue with web pages not displaying after i connect to a local cafes wireless hotspot. The network is not passphrase protected and my computer verifies i am connected to the network. However, when i try opening either explorer or firefox no pages will display and it says im not connected to the internet. I thought perhaps it was a network adapter problem but i have no problem connecting to my home router. Can anyone help me?
