Well if you wanna try it follow this step.. Its very simple.. But one thing, remote desktop is mostly used when windows XP in linked or controled by a server if i remember correctly..!! Neways, here u are.... go to Control Panel, click performance and Maintenance. Click System. Click the Remote tab, select the alow users to connect remotely to this computer, clk OK. Next, make sure you have Windows Firewall set up to allow exceptions. 1 Control Panel, Security Center 2 Under Manage security settings, clik Windows Firewall. 3.Make sure the Don't allow exceptions box is not selected. 4.Click Exceptions tab, and verify if the Remote desktop check box is selected. 5.Clk OK, and then close the Windows Security Center. 6.Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, System, and click the Computer Name. 7.Write down the full computer name, click OK. 8.Close panel 9.Leave this computer running, locked, and connected to the network with Internet access. Connect your remote computer to the host computer To connect your home computer, which is the remote computer to your host computer, follow these steps: 1.On your home computer, click Start, point to All Programs, and then point to Accessories. 2. Accessories menu, point to Communications, click Remote Desktop Connectn. 3.In the Computer box, type the computer name of your host computer, which you wrote down earlier. 4.Connect. 5. When Log On to Windows dialog appears, put ur user name, password, click OK. To end your Remote Desktop session: 1 Log Off Woow.. yep it simply allows u to perform special operations on your computer from another worldwide computer with ur personal password access.. it may be used in networking almost (servers etc..) |
for two computers to communicate using the desktop remote assitance does it require a terminal server to be installed? |
