Installing AVG free 8.0

Hello,
I have vista and i downloaded AVG FREE 8.0 when i go to get updates the message says make sure the connection parameters are set properly. where do i go to do that. thank you. need help

Configuration: Windows Vista
Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi, did you get a reply to this? i downloaded the new one as i wa havin problems downloading updates on the 7.5 version, its so frusrating!!! im scared to go on the net with my laptop

Hi, i and my laptop enjoy using avg antivirus 8.0.199 because is very active and functional, infact i recommend it for all my friend over in west Africa but the problem we are encountring now is how to update it because my antivirus and anti-spyware is already outdated even when my licence suppose to be valid till 07/12/2009.
please kindly direct me on how to achieving this so that i dont request for new laptop from avg highly rated company.
