Problem with my dvd rom

Hello,

yesterday i installed a game with my dvd rom and played afterwards without ant problems but this morning when i wanted to play it wasnt reading and was making a strange sound.

anyone can tell me how can it be possible that yesterday it was alright and in the morning wasnt no more of this world?
