Hello,
I have an Apple Macbook with a windows partition on it. I got a new 550GB Hard disk and loaded 100GB worth of backup files onto it, now I realize its formatted in NTFS and I can only use it on windows and not mac OS X. Could you tell me if theres a way to partition the rest of the 400 GB into FAT32?

Configuration: Mac OS X
Firefox 3.0.1

Install macfuse along with ntfs 3g then you will be able to read and write to your ntfs partition.
I use it and it works just fine.

I have the same initial problem as you. try install Paragon NTFS for mac. this software will treat your NTFS HDD as a native partition. simple installaion and requires a restart...walla!!

Paragon Partition Manager 9.0 is your choice: www.partition-manager.com
Also, there is a free version that works on both Windows and Mac file systems: http://www.paragon-software.com/home/pm-express/download.html

Hi everyone,

Just thought i'd let you know that paragon-software.com is offering its bestseller software for $9.95 (during this weekend only). I would commend their system utilities to all (using Drive Backup tool, also did partitioning operation once with Partition Manager), especially those who don’t already have disk management tools, since Paragon has an excellent reputation.
Go and get your chance at www.paragon-software.com

Paragon Partition Manager supports to convert NTFS to FAT 32. Before you do this, I recommend you to backup files at first in case of unexpected problems.
