To connect your phone with your laptop firstly you need a data cable thats very true. Secoundly you have to download the Nokia PC suite, while instaling it if your phone has the capabilty of working as a modem then you will the modem option in PC suite as well. Clik on this follow the general instructions.
That is the only way.

u must have one CD with u while buying your hand set. Simply, u have to install the nokia pc by inserting it into the CPU. Then comes option automatically. U just select one by one. After installation of the software u have to plug-in ur Data cable. Then will come new wizard on the monitor and u do the rest according to the wizard. Now u are able to access internate on ur cell.

In answer I must say NO. u cont connect with other nokia model except 5130 model. well, please b informed first if cd for 5130 is available with ur hand set. If cd is there, u must have to install the cd first. sometimes, usb data for internet connection is alreadt preloaded for some hand set. In case of such, u need not have to install cd. Take ur hand set to near by nokia centre to be cleared about the fact. |

| 70 charlie887, on Oct 28, 2009 11:41:18 am GMTThis is what you will do first of all install the Nokia PC suit on your system, after the installation double click on the short cut, then when it comes up click on connect to the internet when it's up at the bottom click on settings, after that, click on mannual configuration then you click on next you will then see something like this:----
APN is: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
User's Name is: web
Password is: web
don't put anything on the domains name
then you click finish. then you close go back to short cut double click on it as usual when it's up what you do isjust to click on the connect to the internet icon then you wait for it to connect automatically
mean while before all this you have to connect the Nokia phone to your laptop with a USB cable.
