Screen goes blank

Hello,
Just recently my son was playing with the display properties, the next day while running windows the screen turns blank. It occurs right after is starting up, Ive tried safe mode to change the display properties from there but nothing happens. I've tried many times to reboot and no changes had happened.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0

Insert your mother board CD & it will adjust ur screen properties automatically..
