Samsung sgh a177-Internet?

Hello,
I'm just bought the samsung sgh a177, but I do not want to pay for internet on an at&T service plan is there a way I can use the wireless internet that I use for my lap top for my phone? If you know to do this PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE include detailed steps on how I can do this. thank you!
