Cant configure router

Hello, I'm trying to configure my WRT54G to allow me to host games on Gameranger. Whenever I try to make a change it says the server is down. I need to set it up for port 23798 TCP and UDP, but for some reason it wont save the settings once I'm done making them. I'm on a black MacBook on safari, what should I do? Thanks.
