Hello, I am running Windows XP Home sp2 on an ACER 1313LC notebook, with AMD 2200+ athlon proc. I currently have 2 problems with USB devices.
1) iBaby SD card reader - when I plug this into my computer the red light on the USB card reader flashes and then stops and then I can read the data on the SD card in the reader. As soon as I try to add files from pc to card or delete files from card or move/copy files from card to pc, the red light flashes and I get an error message "Cannot copy file: the parameter is incorrect" and it's like the SD card is no longer accessible. And then I cannot even see the files on the SD card. I don't have this problem on other computers in my office.
2) I have a SONY NWZ-B143F/BC 4gigbyte mp3 player. Again, this works fine and connects easily to other computers, but on my ACER notebook, when the SONY mp3 player is connected, I go to windows explorer to either add, move or delete files and windows explorer just freezes and I cannot do anything apart from re-boot
I also connect a FUJIFILM camera to the ACER via USB cable and can save photos to the it and I use a Kingston 2GB USB flash drive with no problems at all. Just the iBaby SD card reader and the SONY mp3 player. There are 2 USB ports and one is often connect to an external hard drive, but even with this removed I get the same problems with the iBaby card reader and the SONY mp3 player.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.5.4
