Facebook Server Times Out

Through searches, I see that Facebook servers have had issues with timing out... I am experiencing the following problems:

1. Facebook Login page will not load
2. If the login page loads, I enter my email and password, and the server times out
3. My login "seems" successful but the page that loads is blank.

It has been like this for about 36 hours. And, during this time, other friends of mine have had no trouble.

I have IE7 (though have the same issue on Firefox and Safari), on Win XP. I've checked for updates... Problem persisted even after SP3 was installed.

Is there a way to increase the time before a timeout (from IE7's 30 seconds, to perhaps a minute)? Would this even help?

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0
Firefox 3

I am having the same issue for about the past 2 days now. I cannot get access to the facebook homepage. I have tried everything I can think of. What is going on! I have even tried adding an "s" to https:// to make it secure like previously mentioned on other threads but this doesnt work for me. Please someone let me know if you have a fix for this problem

It's a DNS issue. go to www.opendns.com and follow the instructions. 100% you will be sorted.

cheers and hope it works!

OpenDNS hasn't solved my problem. I put in the new name servers, tried the "s", and still nothing.
