Hello,
I want to connect one desktop to another desktop, my question is do my router and usb adapter need to be the same brand .

Configuration: Windows Vista
Firefox 3.0.15

by what means you want to connect them?

usb cable ,lan cable or using a router?

Don't need to be same brand, they're compatible.. You can connect both computers directly by using crossover cable, or set up a wireless network with wireless router or set up a wired Ethernet network with LAN router. Hope it helps.
