Ink cartridges for lexmark x1185

Hello,
bought new ink cartridges,installed them,levels showed full but wont print,got problem with printer error,put old ones back in,levels still showed full but would print bad,how do i fix this?

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0

have you removed the sticker on the cartridge head?

Yes i have removed the stickers and there is no little pteces of sticker on the cartridge heads ,also when i open all printers to delete documents from printing it wont let me delete it sometimes and i have to reboot comp.
