Which HDMI cable suitable?

Hello,
Have a Sony Vaoi Laptop with Blu-ray player. I need to buy a HDMI cable to hook up to my HD Panasonic Viero Plasma TV and not sure which one to buy???
Do I need to buy a Sony product?
Are all HDMI cables the same?
I see some bargains on www.play.com from €7....wow,are these good enough or willI not get the picture I want from it: ie Blue0-ray player, HD tv...then crappy Cable???

Can anyone plse advise a novice?
