| 1 Compy Tech, on Aug 14, 2008 6:07:02 am BSTHey. I do not know about "last time," maybe you could clarify. So your pc definitely has bluetooth? or does it just have wireless 802.11? drivers for a bluetooth card in the computer should already be installed and ready to go. Maybe your phone cannot transfer via bluetooth, only connect to a headset for hands-free talking. trying to get a feel of how much knowledge you've got of this stuff before I bring in stuff that's too technical, though should be an easy fix. what's your cellphone model and laptop model(full numbers and letters stuff, not just its title) Reply to Compy Tech | 3 sarah, on Oct 1, 2008 7:07:04 pm BSTSamsung r60 plus is my laptop

| 25 Suresh, on Apr 3, 2009 10:53:33 am BSTHello all,
I saw the discussion about Connect phone to laptop by bluetooth. The concept is very simple. Turn on the bluetooth in your mobile and make it visible to the other bluetooth device then only your handphone will detect the other bluetooth device and viceversa. Most of the recent notebooks are having bluetooth enabled but in some notebooks we need to turn on the bluetooth by using the buttons which indicated as bluetooth. Once you turn on then get into your computer running windows vista type this following command in the search box or in the run box "ncpa.cpl" it will take you to the network connection window. In that window where you find the bluetooth connection.Click the icon first and look it on the top of the window where you can see an option "Connect the the bluetooth"click it then you need to add the bluetooth device click add. It will find your hand phone then it will ask the passpharse key you can create one and then your handphone alert you to type the same key that u given in the notebook.Once it matched it will connect automatically. Later type bluetooth in the search option where you will get an option as Bluetooth(Transfer files wizard) . Click it then you receive or send the file via bluetooth between your notebook and handphone.
Enjoy

| 51 sleeping_beauty, on Sep 22, 2009 7:48:20 am BSTMy Gateway laptop has built in bluetooth, it is a vista. It won't recognize my phone which is verizon. Also in the network connections I can't find the bluetooth. It has a button that says Bluetooth Settings but when I hover it says that it will launch the radio control UI for Bluetooth. My phone can't find it either. Reply to sleeping_beauty |

| 19 Ashutosh, on Mar 5, 2009 5:13:10 am GMTHi Sarah,
You can easily connect using some small blutooth device of the size of small pen drive. And, you can connect to PC or Lappy your phone (nokia 2630) easily either only in data transfer mode or GPRS packet data transfer mode. I am using Frontech's Blutooth dongle for that which connects in any mode and with any cellphone with much high speed. And the "Frontech bluetooth dongle + driver CD" is very low cost to purchase. The software has options to connect with internet, but the only thing I can't solve that when it is connecting the phone in GPRS mode, I am not able to access internet. If you can please tell me any solutions.
Thanks,
Ashutosh Reply to Ashutosh |

Reply to char | 27 LINS, on Apr 21, 2009 10:38:32 am BSTI saw your post - and I am stuck !! How can I transfer my phone book from my Motorola V3 (which is the same as yours to my laptop). I have managed to get bluetooth running, but not managing to transfer contacts from my V3 to my laptop as I am changing over to a Nokia N85. I wondered if it was possible to save text messages too ? My ex died and I wanted to keep his last text messages to me and take it over to my new phone. Reply to LINS |
