Reload loop-possible virus

Hello,

i have an HP laptop running windows xp and nortons 360, when i turn on my computer it open at the safemode screen, no matter what choice i make it will go the windows screen then turn to blue screen which only gives 2-3 secs to review then starts the loop over again. i've pressed f10, no luck, pressed f2 no luck.

my question" do i have viruse or is it something else?

Configuration: HP laptop, Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0,

Dear Sir,

Please enter in safe mode and carry out a system restore through the instructions below:

Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> System Restore

This should solve the problem.
