Blueray played on laptop

Hello,
is it possible to use the blueray player on a laptop and view through a hd tv if so how laptop has a hdmi socket as does the tv but when hd lead is pluged into laptop the blueray stops playing saying the driver is not compatible
but can view blueray on laptop.

I can't play a video file. What's wrong? ShowYou probably need codecs. The one I use is called the K-Lite Codec Pack which includes a nice bunch of codecs. You might also want to try VLC Media Player which features a host of codecs built-in.
