Computer shut off whe i open Internet

Hello,
My computer Shut off every time i open the Internet explorer. I changed it to Mozilla Firefox and worked for a while and now it is doing the same.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.5.3

Try look for the virtuam memory capacity. This should be the trouble.
