Gateway Laptop Mouse/Keyboard Problem

Hello!
I've been having some problems with my Gateway NV52 Laptop since I got it. I can't use my touchpad after I've been typing. This happens for a few seconds after typing, then it goes back to normal. Kinda makes it hard to play online games. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks for the input.

Configuration: Windows Vista
Firefox 3.5.4

Dear Sir,

Try updating the drivers for the malfunctioning device and it should fix the problem.
