Laptop shift key not working properly

Hello friend!
Can you please help me in fixing my keyboard mainly i think Shift key problem.

I am not able to type numbers, period, comma ie bottom punctuations on dual keys..
Even if i am trying to select a single file , the whole file gets selected.
Same if i am trying to open a single drive, all drives get selected and opened.
can u please get me rid of this problem and provide me the exact solution what to do to get rid of it?

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Dear Sweta,

You may remove the key and remove any dust in there and place it back. This should fix the problem

that you are having.

Hi louis!
thanks for the reply.But i went to the service center .they asked me to change the keyboard of my laptop..they checked if it is due to dust...but unfortunately it is not due to dust according to them..Now what to do?
