Laptop dell inspiron 1545 doesn't turn on

I have a dell inspiron 1545 with windows vista. I close my laptop without turning it off, but now it doesn't turn on. Only is showing the screen saver pic.

I would press the Esc key to wake the machine. The laptop is "ON" because the screen saver is displaying. I suspect it is in a power shaving mode at this time.
