Unable to install windows xp on a sata harddi

Hello,
im installing windows xp on a crone machine that is sata harddisk but when i am on bios its detecting the harddisk but when in the process of installing windows,when it reaches now windows is starting it say no harddisk detected,what could be the problem?

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.5.2

in bios disable sata/native mode

save and exit and restart installation process
