Installing windows 7

Hello,
I use sony vaio, windows vista home premium. Want upgrade to windows7 ,on process it says to uninstall the Intel pro set/wireless from the computer and reinstall later and keep connected to internet. If I uninstall the Isaid one won't be able to keep connected to internet , so what shall I do ? any alter native ways ? Please help me.
