Dell Vostro 1014 WiFi driver for XP

Hello,

Kindly note that I've formatted my laptop without backing up my drivers, so I faced alot of issues to find and install XP drivers for my laptop which is Dell Vostro 1014.
I've downloaded and installed all the drivers except the WiFi driver, and I've tried some drivers but it didn't work so please help me to find and install the WiFi driver.

Yes u cant ..ou have ti install vista or windows 7 only

Noha i've solved my issues after trying alot of ways to solve it,
so if u want u can contact me and i will send u the compatible drivers cause i got it from on of my friends
not through internet, it may be compatible to ur laptop also

I'm sorry, I couldn't find any .. I'm looking also for XP drivers but for Vostro 1015 ... I even contacted Dell support and they said that I have to install either Vista or Win9

Xp on Dell Vostro 1015 work fine widh specify drivers, but for Wireless 1397 driver R219313 is the better /for XP ver A25-1/! All drivers is on site ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/ .

PS: If you know your Vostro model number, serial number, etc., you should have a look to the Dell Technical Support in this web page :
http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/document?c=us&cs=04&docid=324722&l=en&s=bsd (you do not need to use their "Download Manager" utility).
If you don't know your Service Tag (to get the concise list of drivers for your specific product), you will have to select your Model and the appropriate Product Type and Product Model.

You will see then what's available for XP.

Drivers have to be installed in the following sequence -

Win XP SP2 patch - ftp://ftp.microsoft.com.ar/so/KB888111/eng/kb888111xpsp2.exe­

Chipset - http://ftp.us.dell.com/chipset/R217742.exe

Ricoh - http://ftp.us.dell.com/chipset/R222522.exe

Audio - http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R221865.exe

Video - http://ftp.us.dell.com/video/R217764.exe

Ethernet - http://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R223644.exe

Touchpad - http://ftp.us.dell.com/input/R222525.exe

Bluetooth (Dell 355) - http://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R161378.exe

Wi-Fi (Dell Wi-Fi 1397)- http://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R189133.exe

Manual steps to install the Wi-Fi –

1. Extract the files normally

2. In device manager ---> Right click on Network Controller

3. Select Next ---> Choose to install driver from a specific path

4. While searching for compatible driver in a specific location ---> Browse and add the extracted folder (C:\DELL\Drivers\R189133\Driver\)


Modem - http://ftp.us.dell.com/comm/R223642.exe

Modem should get installed automatically when extracted
