Omnia headset not detecting

Hello,my samsung omnia is not detecting the headset that i've got with it.Tried the headset on another samsung phone and it works.Cant be the usb as it connects fine to my pc.Cant get my head round this and would kindly appreciate any help/advice.Cheers
