Connection problem

Hello,

I have an issue which is beyond me !! Can anyone tell my why i have connection to the internet but cannot open my browser. I can send and recieve emails. I have done a ping test etc, run virus software with a clean bill of health. ???

Configuration: Mac OS X
Firefox 3.0.14

delete the cookies and clear the cache

will fix this issue
