Unable to send email using Outlook 2007

Hello,

can someone advice, am using windows xp and configured my official accounts on outlook 2007. i can receive emails however am unable to send emails through the same account. While sending an email am receiving the following error
Send test e-mail message: Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
Please help.

Hi there,

you need to contact your network

administrator for the account

as you mentioned its for your work

ask him the settings for the account

in outlook or you can check the settings at your office pc

and make it identical to yours

Well thnx for your response but i have already consulted the IT person however even he couldnt resolve this issue. am facing a lot of trouble don't understand how to resolve this.
