I have a Dlink router that I was hooking up to my laptop. I don't have a desktop, just a laptop. I set it up just as it said...I put the Dlink cord in the laptop and router, and my ethernet cord in the modem and router. I registered online and set my router up, and made a network for that router. Whenever I try to use it wireless though I can't. I've asked this on numerous forums and everyone says once I switch my laptop to Wifi and unplug the router from my laptop it will work...but it doesn't work. It does still work though with the router connected to the laptop...it goes on the network I created, and when I unplug it and just have my modem hooked up to my laptop is to the network I origionally had for my internet. What can I do to make it work? Dlink doesn't make the router I have anymore so they don't offer support on it.
Thanks!
