Hello,

I was trying to connect my Sony mp3 player to my computer so that I could add new music to it via Sonic Stage, but my computer for whatever reason is not recognizing it. Everything else works fine on it. I'm able to listen to music on it and it even charges when I connect it to my computer. But when I open Sonic Stage to add new music to it, that's when it's not recognizing my mp3 player and the songs that are on my mp3 player. I added some new music about a month ago with no problems like this whatsoever. I have a Sony mp3 player model # NW-E305 and my computer is not recognizing it.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as this is so frustrating.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0

Hi,

Thank you so very much for your response. I already tried that though and it didn't work :( I installed and then re-installed the newest Sonic Stage software (4.3) from the sony website and the driver is included with the software. When I plug my mp3 player into my usb port a message used to always come up on the mp3 player screen that said 'usb connect'. But now when I plug it in, it immediately goes away. My Dad has the exact same mp3 player as me and when I plus his into the usb port on my comptuer, that 'usb connect' message comes on the mp3 player's screen, but it stays there and my computer immediately recognizes it.

Sorry for the long-winded response. I just want to figure out why it's doing this. Hope this further information helps.

Regards,

Alex
