Problem with xp installation

Hello,
i have been using xp for a long time recently i have installed w7 replacing xp. now the problem is when i try to install xp again the system stops responding in the middle of installation.
xp cd booted from cd rom well and files also copied but the strucking point is always same it is in the middle of "INSTALLING DEVICES' bar then my mouse keyboard doesn`t respond,... i have even tried to install with differrent xp pack (cd) but that too having same error.

what could bed the problem i don`t understand........... please clarify why it is giving error....

Hi,

Try openning the BIOS setup and change the SATA Configuration from AHCI to IDE.
