Wireless Network Connection; No Internet =(

Hello,
I just connected my laptop my main computers network. It says that there is a "Very Good" connection and that it is connected to both a network and the internet. Everytime I click on Safari, IE and gGoogle Chrome it says that It cannot connect to the internet. I have a compaq with Windows Vista. I uninstalled Norton completely and it still wont allow me to connect to the internet. Help!!
