Help boot up

Hello,
On my sony Vaio VGN NR220E My son spilled po accidentlly so the keyboards stopeed functioning.
I tried numerous to remove the keyboard until I finally how to.
Though I replace the keyboard has many styles but same type of ribbon connectors...Im unable to get the keyboard to work.

I aslo tried the usb keyboard i was able to load up windows 98 which is the only cd rom that it accepts.
I replace the dvd cd driver. but it was the same.
Now when I try to reload visat still though I change the boot to int optical drive.. still win 98 com,es up yet the usb wont work.. even if I try win xp.
Help.. Im gone to the end.
Is there any thing that I can do ?
