My monitor screen turns black and the audio of the game goes " taaaaaaaaaaat" when i'm in the middle of almost every intensive graphic games. Power supply unit = 550 watt. The graphic card i'm using is 9600GT 1GB and i have only three fans in my PC case. So, would it be a driver problem , overheat or a mulfunction graphic card that i juz bought.

In order to reinstall my direct 9 effectively , do i need to format my PC? I forgot to post out this problem tht happens on my pc while gaming. After removing the graphic driver in my pc and reinstalling graphic driver 175.16, red dots appears and sometimes short purple lines appear on my screen while gaming and the game freezes. IS my graphic card dying? It couldn't be coz i juz bought it. Actually my computer is having two problems one is black screen ( temporary no black screen appears now) but the red dots keep pissing me off. Is my graphic card dying?
