Transfering files from my pc to y phone

Hello,
I have been using samsung SGH D880 for sometime but changed to samsung J700, I tried transfering files from my PC to my phone but the phone opnes but does not show any files in the phone. With the SGH D880 I had installed the software and I used to access all files on my phone. Do I need to install the J700 software again or can I continue using the D880 software since I have not uninstalled it from my PC?

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0

you can still use same software for both mobile phone

as they are from same manufacturer
