Computer Freezes Why Using Recovery

Hello,
Hi my phillips ls-1500 computer freezes why using the recovery disc... i no longer have windows as the disc was formatting when it first froze so now each time i boot up the recovery starts and freezes at the same time... can any1 help me!!!

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Wat u've said cant defined if it is exactly the cause of the freeze... either u have clusters damaged on ur hard drive or u may have BIOS corrupted i think... cant help more. Its quite hard to detect where its from, i suggest u to make several tests to ur machine just to define where it could logically come from..
