Facebook page won't display

Hello,
I can log in but when it tries to connect to Facebook; it brings up a page w/ a bunch of symbols....that doesn't make since. Can you let me know if I need some different program?

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Dear Amby,

Facebook team is actually having some maintenace issues at their site.

This is why your are unable to access properly to your account. Also

please check whether you have any mail from facebook. There are

many accounts that are disabled by Facebook team for a reason or

another. Please confirm it. I would also be advising you to contact the

Facebook Support Team in order to have more information about the matter.
