Acer dvd/cd rom does't work

Hello,
I have encounter a problem with my dvd/cd rom. it dosen't show up in the device manager. also green light of the dvd/cd rom always happened to be displyed. it doesn't open even if i push the eject button. highly appriciate if you can find me a solution.

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Dear Sir,

Please get to the BIOS settings and get to the IDE channels. From there please change the AUTO settings to CD

ROM. This should solve the problem that you are actually facing.
