I just got an ipod nano 8gb

I just got an ipod nano from a friend but he did not give me a driver disk for it and I am unable to find one on the net!! And I am unable to get the thing to turn on!! Can you help me????

There is no driver disk for an iPod. You use iTunes to interface between the PC and the iPod.
