Start up Problem with Dell Inspiron E1505

Hello,

My machine starts and display initial info.
However it stops at very beginning and only keep showing BIOS Revision A17.
It is held there and doesn't accept any command except the shud down button.
It doesn't even allow to enter set up.
Help urgent friends,, if any one can.

Hi there,

remove the rtc battery

to reset the bios then restart pc normally

Do u mean the small coin battery below key board?
Should i replace it with new?
or Just take it out?
or take it out and put it back inside?
or is there another rtc battery?
