Media reader card slots

Hello,
I have an emachine T6524 its been almost a year i been dealing with this issue read so many thread my head is swold. I can not for the life of me to get my media reader card slots to show in my computer and the slots doesnt detect the memory cards once put in the slots, but it does detect the usb port on the front of the bezel for the scandisk cruz. I have reinstall windows xp home edition and reformatted drive nothing, uninstalled all usb port and bus controller nothing, if a need to install a drive for this usb port i'm not sure where i suppose to go here is the specification of the emachine i have . Any help with be greatly appreciated!!
