How to make my external screen the primary?

Hello,
I have compaq laptop with a broken screen and connected anexternal monitor but everytime i try to bring up a game that takes up a whole page and cant be moved it comes up on my laptop screen. how do i make the external my prmry so my laptop screen just stays black??

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0

right click on desktop

then to display properties

now on this tab you will get the generic

or default monitor change the monitor there
